A stunning Edwardian-style vintage emerald and diamond ring, featuring a breathtaking natural 7-carat Colombian square-cut emerald of a rich, vibrant green hue and excellent clarity.

 

The central emerald is elegantly framed by sixteen sparkling round brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling approximately 1.5 carats, all of fine colour and clarity. Each diamond is set into a traditional claw setting with a delicate milgrain border, enhancing their brilliance. Crafted in luxurious 18ct white gold, the ring is completed with beautifully detailed basket-work under the bezel; a timeless treasure.

 

Emeralds are known to be the birthstone for May, and they have been worn throughout history as a talisman for protection, good health, and long life. Throughout history, emeralds have also been associated with Venus, the Roman goddess of love, and hence favoured in engagement and betrothal rings and romantic gifts.
