At its centre lies a 2.03 carat marquise cut diamond, capturing and reflecting light at every angle. Each shoulder of the 18ct gold band is adorned with five sparkling diamonds, drawing the eye gracefully towards the breathtaking central stone. The elongated marquise cut beautifully elongates the finger, for an elegant look on the hand. The 18ct gold band is hallmarked for London, 1970.

 

The origin of the marquise cut begins in 18th-century France, where King Louis XV commissioned a jeweller to craft a unique diamond shape inspired by the lips of his mistress, the Marquise de Pompadour. Over centuries, the cut has evolved into the refined silhouette admired and beloved today.
