Set sail into a sea of green with this vintage heirloom, formed into the whimsical ‘boat’ shape, beloved by the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

 

This dazzling 18ct yellow gold emerald and diamond ring features a breathtaking central emerald of a light blueish green, in the classic ‘emerald cut.’ The colour of this star stone is reminiscent of an island bay on a sunny afternoon and seems to change tone as it dips in and out of the light. It is offset by two round emeralds to each side and a sea of six smaller emeralds, varying from yellow green to a deeper verdant shade, all interspaced by glittering white waves of diamonds: ten of them, to be exact. The ‘boat’ floats upon a tall gallery to ensure maximum additional light shines through these resplendent stones, and guarantees that this ring is sure to make waves.

 

Emeralds can vary in colour and tone with no two stones ever exactly the same, giving each emerald heirloom a truly unique quality. Known to be the birthstone for May, they have been worn throughout history as a talisman for protection, good health, and long life.
