This elegant Edwardian 18ct gold ruby and diamond ring is sure to catch eyes and capture hearts. 


Featuring a vibrant central stone offset by two additional rubies, each of fiery pink tones, interspersed by design work featuring four dainty diamonds which catch the light and glitter on the hand for ultimate brilliance and sophistication. The decorative openwork gallery design also allows for sunlight to pass through and highlight the beauty of these luminous gemstones. 


Historically, rubies may have been worn for personal protection; wearing the ring on the ‘heart side’ (left side) of one’s body, was believed to preserve them from all perils. The radiant reddish-pink colour of rubies also allows for their frequent association with love, passion and romance. 

 

This ring bears Hallmarks for Chester, 1908; the same year that the beloved classic Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery was published.
